Just got back from my first duck hunt with my new Strangler choke and I’ve got to say “That’s one ASS KICKIN’ Choke.” I shot two drakes at 54 and 56 yards (I just happened to have my range finder with me) and I was using the Remington Hevi-Shot #2 Magnums in my 12 gauge. When I cleaned the birds out, they both had shot on both sides of the breast and a few pass through holes on the opposite side that I shot. The guy I was hunting with thought that I’d done some practicing, since our last hunt, until I told him about my new choke.
I was using the Pattern Master choke. I kept missing birds and couldn’t figure out why until I patterned my shotgun. At 40 yards I was getting a hole about the size of a volleyball in the center of the pattern target. I was using #2 and BB by 3 different shell manufacturers. I read about your choke and figured, “Here’s another choke manufacturer that claims to have the best chokes.” I took a chance and bought yours and put it on. I didn’t have time to pattern my shotgun before I went out today. After I was done hunting, I got the pattern targets out again and tried the #2 that I was using. At 40 yards, there were only 5 pellets outside the ring. I tried it again, since my turkey choke never even did that good. The same thing happened.
You guys DO practice and SELL what you preach. I’ve already e-mailed all the duck hunters I know and told them about my new choke.
I know it’s an old saying but I added a new twist to it: “If it flies, it dies with my Strangler choke!
Thanks
